We don’t have to tell you how important it is that we all raise as much awareness as possible of the plight of people with infertility
It is already known as the hidden disease and this is something that needs to change, which is one of the main reasons we are holding the first ever World Fertility Day on November 2, 2018.
The day is all about celebrating our community, taking away the taboos and normalising the word infertility, which is said to have a lot of negative connotations.
And hopefully raising a few quid for worthwhile charities across the globe. Two such charities are BabbleGiving.org and Fertility Network UK along with so many more, to be highlighted on this World Fertility Day site over the coming weeks.
We see it as a day for giving back, for taking the pressure off and enjoying being a part of a community that needs so much more #TLC than it is currently given.
As you may know we have hosted several #TTC lunches across the UK to bring together the fertility community, including patients, experts, holistic therapists, counsellors, making new friendships along the way, which have been a huge success.
But we plan to go even bigger and better on World Fertility Day. We are going to be hosting, with your help, the world’s largest #ttc lunch in London and hope that you will either come along or host your own wherever you are in the world. We hope to live link up across the globe and chat about your experiences.
It would be wonderful to have a #TTC #WFD lunch in every corner of the world
If you can’t host a lunch, breakfast or dinner, what about a #TTC drinks party or #TTC tea party? Get your friends together and bake some amazing cakes, sip tea and talk about how amazing you all are for going through such a journey.
Or what about a fertility walk? Are you a keen walker?
We want global fertility charities, however they are involved in the community, to hold events to mark the day. If you’re a charity and would like to be involved, get in touch, we will be creating a party pack to help you organise your day.
We also want fertility clinics across the globe to get involved. As part of it they might want to give away a number of free consultations to patients who may not otherwise be able to afford it?
We also want the hashtag #WFD and #ttctribe to go viral, with your help
All we ask is that if you host an event, you donate a couple of pounds to help us with our work of funding fertility treatments and supporting people within the fertility community.
So, what are you waiting for? Get in touch and we will send you all the information you need to be part of what is going to be the biggest celebration of the #ttc community ever.
